EPCOR CENTRE'S "C"

EPCOR CENTRE announces its inaugural fundraising event
Music, art, food and fashion collide in contagious creativity at C

Held in three venues within the EPCOR CENTRE, C moves guests through Calgary's home of contagious creativity while Mode Models attired by local designers move to the sounds of DJs and world music, all against a backdrop created by eclectic visual artists.

"C will highlight the collisions between passion and creativity that happen each day in all of the venues, hallways and offices within the EPCOR CENTRE," explains event chair Suzy Judson. "C is more than an average fundraiser you just attend - it'll be a party you experience. I mean, have you ever been to a party in a parkade?"

Curb: EPCOR CENTRE's Parkade - Underground and unconventional
The Parkade is the stage for a fashion moment by menswear designer, Kendall Yellowhorn. Guests will be voyeurs as they watch the shadows of models prepare for their entrance on a square runway, which frames the perimeter of the change room. Graffiti artist David Belcourt and performance artist Eddie Nyikes create exceptional works throughout the space.

Club: EPCOR CENTRE's Centre Court - Chic and contemporary
Models wearing the work of Haithem Elkadiki and Jodi Opsahl mingle with guests in this intimate and exclusive nightclub. Mecha Glass transforms the space with their unique suspended glass sculptures. Cloud Fish, Starry Eyes and Landscape are works that play with projection and expansion of light. DJ RMG adds soulful, sexy house music to the mix.

Collide: EPCOR CENTRE's Jack Signer Concert Hall Lobby - Where it all comes together
Afrocuban Jazz ensemble Masacote is the musical backdrop in this splendid party space. Visual artist Lea Romanowski's clothing mobiles, Balancing Your Wardrobe, will showcase clothing and accessories in a large scale format never seen before. Designers from both Curb and Club will present their work on the lobby's iconic escalators in a grand finale.

Participants include: Brew Brothers Brewing Company, Hollywood Foods, Mango Shiva, Mode Models, Rare Method, Skyy Vodka, The Tribune, Vincor and Willow Park Wines & Spirits.

EPCOR CENTRE is grateful for Canaccord Adams' sponsorship of this event.

The mission of the EPCOR CENTRE for the Performing Arts is to provide an inspiring environment for the performing arts to flourish, where the creative spirit of all Calgarians will be enriched, engaged and delighted.
